清华大学中文系学士,英国ExeterUniversity剧本写作硕士。于2009年起接触纪录电影制作。全程参与《他们在岛屿写作》文学大师系列策划与制作,曾任《如雾起时》制片《化城再来人》副导、剪接。2012年执导首部纪录长片《无岸之河》,描述重要诗人洛夫一生。2017年则以资深拟音师胡定一先生为主,完成探讨华语电影声音的纪录片《拟音》。2018年启动已故漫画家郑问先生纪录片《千年一问》,于2020年完成。

Since 2009, Wang has been with the important literary documentary series of Taiwan, The Inspired Island, as producer, assistant director, and editor. From 2012, Wang directed her first documentary, River Without Banks, which was about Mr. Lo Fu, a prominent Taiwanese poet. In 2017, her second work A Foley Artist was released on cinema in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Chen Uen is her latest film about a comic artist.

郑问,本名郑进文,为台湾风靡全亚洲之漫画巨擘,不仅融合水墨艺术与西方绘画技巧之美学特殊,其创作技法与媒材更宽广不拘。郑问的职业生涯足迹遍布台湾、日本、香港、中国等地,创作作品包含动漫与游戏美术,于90年代在日本发表作品瞬即引起轰动,以《东周英雄传》获得日本漫画家协会“优秀赏”,并盛赞其为“亚洲至宝”。郑问灵活运用漫画单格,镕铸成独树一帜的“郑问美学”,迄今尚无人比拟。

本片耗时两年,拍摄团队奔走15,000公里的飞行航程,横跨台湾、香港、日本和中国与超过50位漫画及出版界人士进行访谈。期以郑问之生涯及创作为经纬,透过画作翻拍与人物访谈,重现郑问一生之精神与美学,更扩大描写两岸三地及日本漫画产业,令其带给后世之影响力予以持续扩散。

Chen Uen (1958-2017) is the most celebrated artist in the field of comic art in Asia. His agility and skilfulness in using various materials have made his style, regarded as the Chen Uen aesthetic, unparalleled.

For his work on the The Heroes of Eastern Zhou, Chen Uen was honoured with the Japanese Cartoonists Association Excellence Award in 1991, becoming the first non-Japanese artist to receive the award.

This film focuses on Chen Uen’s art career, depicting his aesthetics of life through his works as well as interviews with related persons. This film also gives an overview of comic industries in greater China and Japan in an attempt to explore and carry forward Chen’s legacy.
