简介 Synopsis:
This is a feature length documentary on three independent bookshops in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Bookshops illuminate a city. From these serene sanctuaries, we can see different facets of a city and feel the local vibes. In this documentary, three women booksellers talk about their passions, their love of bookshops, and their missions in life. Their unique characters shine through the way they run their shops. The film is peppered with intimate anecdotes on books and writers. Readers as well as writers also share their views on how books shape their lives. Ode to Book People is a film on book people, for book people, by book people.
